Crime and Corrections Project files, 1954-1969.

The collection consists of records of the Crime and Corrections Project of the SRC from 1954-1969. Includes correspondence of Director John O. Boone, newsletters, printed material, questionnaires, reports, speeches, and surveys which document the activities of the project, whose formal operation was from 1966 to 1968. Contains subject matter relating to prison reform, juvenile delinquency, prison segregation, public assistance programs, and social work and corrections. The collection also contains the Project's African American youth surveys of Atlanta schools.
